Production Employee – Full Time, 2nd Shift

Marson Foods is a family owned and operated premier manufacturer of delicious quality waffle products for K12 Education and Foodservice in Carson City.

We are adding a 2nd shift to our team, with a Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm schedule.Mandatory overtime is required on an as needed basis and attendance is critical to our success.

Starting pay is $18 an hour, plus $0.50 shift differential for 2nd Shift

You will report to the Production Shift Supervisor who is passionate about the products and the team. This is a hands-on position and each of your coworkers will be the best at what they do, and they will be the best teammates you’ve ever had. We’re confident this is true because that’s exactly what we look for in everyone who joins our team.

As a Production employee you will:

· Work with specialized equipment in food production to assemble and prepare excellent baked goods.

· Contribute to the efficiency of the production line to ensure timely loads and shipments, which may include sorting and packing products, palletizing, general assembly of products, cleaning and organizing.

· Participate in quality assurance testing on baked goods.

· Maintain proper storage for material and product inventory in warehouses.

· Organize inventory in an easy-to-access process.

· May assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and environment pre- and post-production.

· Maintain the quality and upkeep of all equipment.

· Move completed products and packages to established locations.

· Follow all GMP practices and requirements.

· Follow all SQF food safety procedures and requirements.

· Assist others as requested or assigned.

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications include:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Prior experience working a production line preferred but not required.

· Prior food industry experience a plus.

· Familiarity with bakery equipment preferred.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Ability to maintain professional and courteous appearance and demeanor.

· Ability to read and write checklists, reports, and correspondence.

· Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, memos, etc.

· Reliable transportation.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
